A safe event is designed in advance, not managed afterwards

The safety of an event is decided in the weeks before it: site analysis, capacity calculations, gate design, arrival and departure planning, emergency arrangements. On the day itself you only execute what has already been planned.

Lion Security supports the organiser at every stage: from the initial survey to the security plan, from the staff briefing to on-site operations, through to the final debrief with findings that improve the next edition.

Staff qualified under Italian law

Crowd-control staff at entertainment events operate under Ministerial Decree of 6 October 2009: trained, registered on the list held by the Prefecture, and unarmed. Their role covers entrance screening, guiding the public, staffing gates and escape routes, first-line conflict management and immediate escalation to the police of anything beyond their remit.

Liaison with authorities and organiser

We take part in technical meetings, provide the documentation required by the local safety commission and maintain a direct channel with the safety officer, the medical coordinator and the local and national police. One chain of command, agreed before the gates open.

Honest sizing

The number of officers is not a commercial figure: it depends on capacity, type of audience, number of gates and the layout of escape routes. We show you the calculation, not just the total — and if your event needs fewer people than you expected, we say so.

Beyond large crowds: private events, corporate events and high-profile guests

The same method applies to events that differ widely in scale and nature. A conference calls for badge checks, room supervision and control of access to reserved areas; a corporate convention calls for confidentiality around content and attention to external guests; an event with high-profile guests calls for dedicated routes, management of photographers and a presence that does not turn their attendance into a spectacle.

In all these cases the key word is proportion: discreet presence where observing is enough, formal presence where screening is required. For private receptions and celebrations there is a dedicated service — wedding and private event security — while for club nights and nightlife formats the reference is nightclub and bar security.
